Position Title: PT Evening Shift Nutrition Services Aide
Classification: Non-Exempt
Department: Nutrition Services
Supervisor: Director of Nutrition Services

Required Job Qualifications:

  • 16 years of age
  • If enrolled in high school, passing grade point average and attendance record.
  • Demonstrated interest in the position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School graduate.
  • Previous positive work experience and references preferably in a food service position.

Job Summary:

  • To set up the dining room(s) for breakfast, dinner and supper meals. Take and record temperatures of foods and work with cook to serve residents meals. Once meals are completed, it is Nutritional Services responsibility to make sure dining room(s) are neat and clean and to scrape, rinse, wash and sanitize dishes as well as refill refrigerators for the next shift. Take direction from Dietary Manager or, the #1 cook on duty.

Essential Responsibilities and Functions:

  • Provide optimal nutrition for residents.
  • Serve residents in a safe and professional manner.
  • Safely handles food at all times.
  • Proper sanitation of items required for the next day.
  • Dependability in performing tasks, duties, and attendance.
  • Demonstrates teamwork through attitude, assistance, and cooperative approach to working with residents, visitors, staff, and supervisors.
  • Satisfactory performance of other tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • Must also be able to meet the Environmental and Physical Demands of the job as found in the attached Statement.
