Required Job Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of an approved Nursing Assistant training program and competency evaluation. OR successful completion of competency evaluation.
  • Nursing Assistant listed on Minnesota Department of Health Nursing Assistant Registry.
  • 16 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPR certified.
  • High School graduate.
  • 6 months of previous Nursing Assistant experience.

Job Summary:

  • Nursing Assistant (NA/R) must demonstrate ability to effectively provide direct cares required for residents such as: Activities of Daily Living (ADL) including eating, toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, oral and perineal cares, shaving, etc. Nursing Assistant must be able to properly take and record accurate vital signs on residents.

Essential Responsibilities and Functions:

  • Use correct body mechanics to ensure maximum safety for both employees and resident.
  • Implement best practices and guidelines, e.g. infection control for assigned unit.
  • Concise and accurate documentation as it relates to resident care.
  • Effectively communicates with residents, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Adhere to HIPPA Privacy and Security rules and report concerns to supervisor.
  • Dependability in performing tasks, duties, and attendance.
  • Demonstrates teamwork through attitude, assistance, and cooperative approach to working with residents, visitors, staff, and supervisors.
  • Satisfactory performance of other tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • Must also be able to meet Environmental and Physical Demands of the job as found in the attached Statement.
